Frequently Asked Questions

  • What criteria is DCAP using to evaluate companies?

This is not a competitive process.  DCAP and Johnson Cooper Consulting, Inc. have developed a scorecard to assess the ability of firms to provide goods and/or services to institutional buyers across several different criteria, including specific capabilities, project management and communications, leadership, and professional references.

  • When will I know if my company has been accepted?

Companies will be notified on a rolling basis (i.e. the sooner you apply, the sooner we can notify you). The full portfolio will be announced at an event during CNHED’s Small Business Week in May 2023.

  • What are benefits to participation?

Benefits to participation include: 1) invitation and prioritization for anchor contracting opportunities, 2) free RFP response feedback on an as-needed basis, 3) strategic introductions and meet-and-greets with anchor procurement staff, and 4) promotion and branding via CNHED’s communications channels.

  • What else is expected of Portfolio Companies?

At a minimum, Portfolio Companies are expected to participate in occasional meet-and-greets with anchor procurement staff and to complete an annual survey to report on firm growth and District of Columbia-related statistics.
