Economic growth must be the priority for every community. The Coalition works with our members, other advocates and policymakers to strengthen and cultivate the District’s community development economy. We not only work with our partners to advocate for policies, initiatives and programs that promote job creation and encourage investment, but also ones that address racial inequity and result in equitable economic prosperity throughout all District communities.
The Coalition believes that everyone in DC needs equitable access to home broadband, devices, and digital skills training. Black and Brown residents, who are disproportionately left behind, deserve digital justice now.
The Coalition’s economic development working groups are open to members and non-members dedicated to solving some of the most important equitable development issues facing Washington, DC. These groups are formed from key advocacy priorities identified by The Coalition’s Economic Development Committee. Each working group is chaired by a The Coalition Board member who reports the group’s strategies to the appropriate committee. To get involved please complete the online sign up form or simply stop by a meeting.
