CNHED’s member organizations work to ensure that under-resourced communities have housing and economic opportunities in neighborhoods throughout the District of Columbia in a variety of ways. CNHED plays an important and unique role in providing a forum for local nonprofits and mission-driven for-profits to discuss their policy needs. CNHED advocates forcefully on those issues on their behalf.
The DC Council has released the draft Agency Performance Oversight Hearings schedule.
As you may know, this is your chance to provide Councilmembers input on how well District agencies are administering the programs and services that are vitally important to affordable housing and community economic development fields.
From homelessness prevention programs to small business technical assistance, there are numerous initiatives, programs and policies that CNHED supports and leverages throughout our work.
CNHED believes that an ample supply and array of solutions is needed to end chronic homelessness and to sustain a continuum of housing that meets the needs of the most economically vulnerable residents of the District.
