As an AmeriCorps VISTA, Erin works with the Corporate Development Team at Manna, Inc, a nonprofit, affordable housing developer. Erin runs the Manna Young Professionals network, a group for individuals under 40 interested in social justice and affordable housing. She has organized and led four events with the group so far and is excited to see the group grow! Day to day, Erin also works on a research study to examine the effect of homeownership on financial stability.
Recently, Erin helped to run the 25th annual Friends of Manna reception and auction. Erin assisted with fundraising, coordinating the technology for the virtual event, and communications. For this event, Erin completed outreach and secured over forty items for the virtual auction, which is live now! The auction is live from Thursday, November 5th through Thursday, November 12th, and is the perfect place to buy gifts for the upcoming holiday season!
In her next six months of service, Erin is excited to work more on asset management and marketing in Prince George’s County. She is eager to continue working on Manna’s mission of providing affordable homeownership opportunities to individuals and families in D.C. and Maryland.
