Cameron Hub has served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED) since September 2021. In his role as the Research Development VISTA, Cameron conducted critical research on the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA) program. Through his data and analysis, the information obtained is currently being used by the organization in the housing working groups and networks to further the ongoing efforts to preserve affordable housing in the District of Columbia.
Upon Cameron’s service completion in September 2022, he will be attending NYU Law School in the fall. Through scholarship practical training, he hopes to expand his knowledge of affordable housing policy and advocacy. His wish is to remain involved in the work of the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED), particularly the next TOPA study for the District.
