Small Business Month

Annually during the first week of May, CNHED, along with our member organizations, District agency partners Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD), Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), and the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), and the entire small business community recognize and celebrate Small Business Week in the District of Columbia.

In light of COVID-19, and its impact on the small business community, CNHED has extended our traditional week-long celebration to span the entire month of May.  As vaccine rollout progresses and the District enters recovery, it’s vital that neighbors and communities support all small and local businesses, especially those that were hit hardest by the pandemic. #DCSmallBizMonth is more than just an opportunity to recognize and celebrate our small businesses, but also a call to action to actively support them. Together, we can make the Future Big! for small businesses.

Join us in our commitment to supporting small and local businesses, and ensuring a strong economic future for our communities.
