Home News and Updates The New DCSmallBizHelp.com is Here!

WASHINGTON, DC (July 18, 2024) – The Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED) is excited to announce the relaunch of DCSmallBizHelp, a one-stop resource hub to help plan, start, and grow your small business. The newly revamped website connects small businesses to various services, programs, lenders, and government agencies in the District that can provide support, resources, or essential information to help plan, start, and grow their businesses.

Nearly a decade ago, CNHED and its partners embarked on an endeavor to create DCSmallBizHelp as a centralized platform connecting small businesses to technical assistance and advisory services. At that time, DCSmallBizHelp only had 18 local organizations in its directory.

Today, the District’s small business ecosystem is more dynamic and robust. The revamped DCSmallBizHelp not only has more support organizations in its directory, but it also provides resources surrounding access to capital and government programs in addition to technical assistance and advisory services.

DCSmallBizHelp.com is part of CNHED’s Small Business Ecosystem Building Initiative, supported by the Truist Charitable Fund. Through this initiative, CNHED works to strengthen and connect the small business ecosystem in the District by serving as a community quarterback that collaborates across small business support organizations and entities to enhance funding, support services, resources, and information for small businesses in DC.

CNHED’s vision has always been to nurture a collaborative and thriving small business community that fosters a more inclusive and connected ecosystem for small businesses in DC. The goal is to reflect the vibrancy, dynamism, and depth of the District’s small business ecosystem throughout the new and enhanced version of DCSmallBizHelp.

The relaunch of our DCSmallBizHelp is a testament to this enduring vision. CNHED is committed to supporting local small businesses, specifically those that are minority-owned or in under-resourced communities.
