ICE Raids in the District

Home News and Updates ICE Raids in the District

This past weekend, ICE (the U.S. Immigration and Customs Agency) conducted more raids across our District, this time in Mount Pleasant and Ward 1. These circumstances are disturbing, immoral and should not be tolerated in our communities.

At CNHED, we believe that every person who chooses to reside in the District should be part of thriving communities that are socially, racially, and economically just. Communities (and the people within them) should also be free from discrimination and profiling.

No one deserves to be targeted because of their nationality nor do communities win when families are separated.

As we learn about additional resources from our members, allies, or others who are organizing responses, we will update you. In the meantime, we ask that you please help distribute this ICE Emergency Hotline flyer (English/Spanish). This flyer has information on who to call if there is an ICE raid taking place and it provides additional insight about your rights.
